Malaysian Cops Under Investigation

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia – As reported by the Malaysian Star: "Senior officers and personnel from the Kuala Langat district police headquarters are under investigation following the discovery of a 'mini casino' about a kilometre from the station.

"Officers from Bukit Aman have been recording statements from policemen from the district headquarters since a raid that netted about 40 gamblers was made last week.

"…The 'mini casino' was discovered on Feb 9 following a raid by 40 men led by state CID chief Senior Asst Comm (II) Abu Bakar Mustapa on the first floor of a shoplot in Taman Emas.

"…All state police chiefs, district police chiefs and officers in charge of stations had been directed to clamp down on criminal activities under Operation Zero Crime Zone, which was launched three years ago."
