Magna's Detroit Plans Near Approval

MICHIGAN – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Magna Entertainment Corp.'s plan to build a racetrack in the Detroit suburb of Romulus is close to gaining full government approval after being granted special land-use status from the local City Council in August.

"The Romulus project, proposed as a $125-million venture that would be called Michigan Downs and may include a retail and entertainment complex, has already been approved by residents in a special election last December…"
