Macau: Side-betting higher than casino revenue9 March 2011MACAO -- A report from the United States Department of State released last week has suggested that illegal betting could be ten times higher than official gaming revenue in Macau, according to the Macau Daily Times. The report also highlighted significant concerns about money laundering in Macau from international narcotics trafficking, the Macau Daily Times said. The US Department of State is calling specifically for strict regulation on "VIP gaming promoters", The Macau Times reported. |
