Macau Galaxy Resorts to Open Next Month

MACAU – As reported by the Associated Press: "Galaxy Resort & Casino said Wednesday it will open its new Macau casino next month _ the second to be launched in the Chinese territory since it ended a four-decade gambling monopoly.

"Galaxy said in a statement late Wednesday that the Galaxy Waldo, which offers 38 tables and 100 slot machines, will open in early July.

"The statement also said construction on Galaxy's second hotel-casino, the Galaxy Starwood, will begin by the end of June and that the company has submitted plans to Macau's government for a third resort.

"Galaxy is run by Hong Kong-based Lui Che-woo, who shares a casino license with Las Vegas gambling mogul Sheldon Adelson…"
