Macao: Students study and train for casinos27 June 2012MACAO -- Students in Macau are studying for and being trained towards the booming local casino industry these days, according to the BBC. They are trained in a Polytechnic Institute that is fully equipped with a casino floor along with gaming tables and slot machines, the report explained. The industry courses offered are very varied and since the job market favors local workers there are many employment opportunities for the students to pursue, the BBC report said. The economy of Macau has shifted from manufacturing to the casinos and has seen extraordinary growth (up 18 percent) in recent years, the report made note. |
