More than a tribute, MJ The Illusion is a high-energy, immersive concert journey through the groundbreaking career of one of the most iconic entertainers of all time. From the chart-topping brilliance of Off the Wall to global anthems like “Thriller,” “Smooth Criminal,” and “Billie Jean,” the show recreates the magic, spectacle and excitement that made Michael Jackson a worldwide phenomenon. Audiences can expect a night packed with dazzling choreography, iconic costumes, dynamic visuals and electrifying lighting, all set to the legendary soundtrack that shaped pop music forever. At the center of the production is acclaimed performer Michael Knight, widely recognized as one of the top Michael Jackson tribute artists in the world today. Unlike many tribute performers who learn solely through repetition, Knight took an elite professional approach to mastering Jackson’s signature style. In 2013, he sought out and trained with Travis Payne, Michael Jackson’s legendary backup dancer and choreographer for Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson IMMORTAL, to authentically recreate MJ’s iconic movement. In 2014, Knight also received vocal training from Jackson’s long-time vocal coach, Seth Riggs, elevating his performance to a rare level of realism and artistry. Knight has performed with Legends in Concert since 2013 and has captivated audiences worldwide through hundreds of performances at performing arts centers, casinos, fairs, festivals and private events.
