Lucky woman wins Jaguar at California casino5 November 2010INDIO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The feel of Halloween was in the air at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino as hundreds of people gathered to determine the mystery of who would win the brand new, shiny, black Jaguar XF. One lucky woman dressed for the pre-Halloween occasion and she thinks this just may have given her the edge over the rest of the contestants. Saturday, October 30th, the resort/casino held its Black Cat Jaguar XF Giveaway. Twenty four contestants had qualified to play for the luxury car in previous drawings that began in mid-September. Those 24 hopeful new car owners made their way to the event stage on that Saturday night. After each person selected a key ring with a number attached to it, the event's emcee spun the prize wheel. Each space on the wheel indicated a number that corresponded to one of the key chains. With anticipation one could almost feel, everyone at the event stage watched the wheel make rotation after rotation. It finally slowed and came to a stop on number 17. That keychain belonged to Cheryl Thomsen of Indio, CA. She screamed out loud, "oh my gosh!" In total disbelief that she had just won a $70,000 car, Cheryl made her way to the stage. The emcee handed her the car keys and she walked over to check out her new ride. "I wore a Halloween t-shirt and sweater tonight for good luck and I guess it worked," Cheryl said. A recreational golfer, she said she's now going to look very good pulling up to the clubhouse in her shiny new Jaguar. Players at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino now have the chance to win Santa's Sleigh - a brand new, white BMW 328i convertible - just in time for the December holidays. Guests may swipe their Fantasy Rewards cards at designated kiosks Sunday through Friday through December 10th. Entrants must then come into Fantasy Springs that Saturday to activate their contest entries and to participate in that night's qualifier drawings. Four contestants will be chosen each hour between 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. Each contestant returns to the stage at 7:15 and selects a wrapped gift. Four will unwrap $1,000 free slot play and a key to become a finalist in the grand prize drawing. The other eight people will receive $500 free slot play from Santa. The players with the BMW key return on Saturday, December 11th to play for the luxury convertible. That night, one lucky person will drive off with Santa's sleigh. The other 23 participants will receive $1,000 free slot play. Players must be 21 or older to participate. If you do not have a Fantasy Rewards card, signing up is free and easy.
