Louisiana Downs Meet Handle Increases

LOUISIANA – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Louisiana Downs concluded its 80-day meeting on Sunday with a handle increase of nearly 12%.

"A total of $204,976,090 was wagered at the Bossier City track, up 11.8% from last year. Average total daily handle was $2,499,708.

"On-track handle grew 3.9% to $18,973,516 over 2002 figures. Daily on-track handle averaged $231,384. Off-track handle was $186,002,574, an increase of 12.7% from last year. Daily average for off-track wagering was $2,268,324…"
