Louisiana Casino Revenue Down

LOUISIANA – As reported by the Louisiana Times-Picayune: "August revenue at Louisiana casinos was down 4.5 percent compared with the same month a year ago, despite the addition of the Evangeline Downs racetrack casino and the expanded permanent slots casino at Harrah's Louisiana Downs.

"…Riverboats were off 11.9 percent compared with last year, with each market showing declines.

"In New Orleans, riverboat winnings were down 6.6 percent from August 2003.."
