Lottery Game Based on Street Gambling

EGG HARBOR CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "Losing $150 in a game of street-corner dice understandably angered Jeff McGill. But the Atlantic City native quickly turned that anger into inspiration.

"…But instead of going back to that street corner, the former Bally's Park Place slot technician decided on a more entrepreneurial approach.

"…By the end of his shift, McGill had the rough draft of a new casino game and the start of a new company.

"Today, the Gameologist Group owns limited trademark rights to the names C-lo - the decades-old street-corner version of craps that emptied McGill's wallet four years ago - and the hip-hop phrase 'bling-bling.'

"…McGill and his eight business partners have since turned the C-lo and bling-bling names into slot machines and table games, and recently struck a deal with a lottery ticket supplier to market a scratch-off lottery game.

"Gameologist signed a three-year licensing deal with Alpharetta, Ga.-based MDI Entertainment late last year and the two companies have already begun shopping the instant- win game to several lottery commissions.

"…While the lottery ticket is a fairly straightforward scratch-and-match game, the table game and slot machine are based largely on the old C-lo game…"
