Lots of slots arriving at Mardi Gras Casino

17 March 2010

HALLANDALE BEACH, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- One-hundred new slot machines are arriving at Mardi Gras Casino this April. In fact, Mardi Gras will be the first in Florida to d├ębut The Amazing Race multi-level progressive slot machine as well as a revised version of the Top Dollar slot machine scheduled to be up and running on April 18, 2010.

Based on the Emmy award-winning reality series, The Amazing Race slot machine is an example of how pop culture is making its way into casinos everywhere. In March, Mardi Gras added another pop culture icon to its floor with the multi-level progressive slot machine based on HBO's hit show Sex and the City. Additional slot machines arriving in April 2010 to Mardi Gras Casino include Reel'em In! Catch the Big One, Star Track, The Wizard of OZ, and Monopoly Planet GO.

Mardi Gras Casino is also gearing up to launch the largest penny progressive link in the country consisting of 78 penny slot machines. A progressive link encompasses multiple slot machines (78 in this case) linked together so that every bet on every machine contributes to a growing Jackpot. Each machine has an equal opportunity of hitting the Jackpot, giving the player a better chance of winning larger sums. The opening of the penny progressive room is earmarked for late spring 2010.

Las Vegas-style slot machines are located on the first and third floors of Mardi Gras Casino and offer a variety of denominations ranging from a penny up to $25.00. Some of the casino's most popular slots include Royal Match 21 Blackjack, Spin & Win Roulette, Quick Hit Linked Progressive, Slingo Community, Indiana Jones, Hot Shots, Fort Knox, Top Dollar, Lucky Lotto and Wheel of Fortune.
