Loto-Québec to pay for gamblers' therapy24 March 2010QUEBEC, Canada -- In a settlement deal to a class action suit, Loto-Québec agreed to pay for therapy for gambling addicts, CBC reported. The therapy took place between 1994 and 2002 and will cost about $5,000, CBC said. The settlement will cost Loto-Québec $50 million and involves 120,000 people in Quebec, CBC said. |
