Live music returns to Casino Arizona

2 July 2021

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Casino Arizona, an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, is excited to announce the return of its popular tribute band weekend on Friday, 30 July. Tributes to iconic bands, including Led Zeppelin and Van Halen, will be among the first to hit the Showroom stage when entertainment returns, following a temporary stoppage due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Tickets for the first round of tributes will go on sale at noon today.

“Live music has always been a huge factor in our entertainment offerings at Casino Arizona. Over the course of our more than 20 years in business, we have innovated with headliners, stage shows and now with our tributes.” said Ramon Martinez director of public relations for Casino Arizona. “We understand how live music enhances our guests’ experience at our property and are so pleased to be able to bring it back.”

Tribute bands returning to The Showroom include:

- First to hit the stage will be Led Zepagain, a tribute to legendary English rock band Led Zeppelin on 30 and 31 July. Fans will relive iconic hits including “Stairway to Heaven,” “Ramble On” and “Kashmir.”

- On 6 and 7 August, Casino Arizona welcomes The Pat Benatar Experience. “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Heartbreaker,” and “Love Is a Battlefield” are just a few of the hit songs 80s music fans will hear when they see this tribute to the four-time Grammy winner, Pat Benatar.

- Casino Arizona favorites, Fan Halen, return on 13 and 14 August. This tribute to Van Halen returns fans to the glory days of the David Lee Roth era and will be all the more poignant with the recent untimely passing of guitar legend Eddie Van Halen. Hits such as “Jump,” “Cradle Will Rock” and “Hot for Teacher” are sure to be among the songs on the playlist.

In addition to tribute performers, the casino will also bring back DJs on Fridays and Saturdays to its L8Nite Bingo sessions. Local bands and lounge acts will also return to its CAZ Sports Bar on weekends. Similarly, Casino Arizona’s sister property, Talking Stick Resort, will resume live entertainment in its restaurants and lounges.
