Let Cupid guide you to Fantasy Springs February 14th29 January 2013INDIO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- This Valentine’s Day, the acclaimed chefs at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino are looking to make you fall in love with their creations. Three of the resort’s seven restaurants will offer dining specials on Thursday, February 14th. The Fresh Grill Buffet features a Valentine’s Day feast. The Bistro and POM offer romantic and relaxed settings, perfect to celebrate with a special someone or with family and friends. At The Bistro, your heart will beat faster over the heart-shaped ravioli filled with lobster meat and blended cheeses, served with an aged sherry-truffle cream sauce, for $14. For the entrée, enjoy chateaubriand, a classic center cut of filet mignon, roasted and sliced, along with a butterfly grilled jumbo shrimp scampi. This is served with grilled baby vegetables, parmesan roasted potatoes, burgundy demi glace and sauce béarnaise, for $38. Enjoy a special dessert of bananas foster style, Baked Alaska which has caramelized bananas, layered with dulce de leche ice cream, cinnamon swirl pound cake, topped with meringue and flambéed for $10. The Bistro opens for dinner at 5 p.m. on Valentine’s Day and also serves its nightly menu. If you’re looking for more casual romance, try POM at Fantasy Springs. The special Valentine’s Day offering of a sweetheart’s surf n’ turf pairing includes pan-seared veal medallions with lemon-caper butter and egg-battered Brazilian lobster tail with roasted garlic and herbs. This is served with sautéed asparagus, baby sunburst squash and a twice-baked cheddar potato, all for $36. POM’s nightly menu will also be available with dinner seating starting at 4 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Come into the Fresh Grill Buffet for a special Valentine’s Day dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and let your heart melt enjoying delectable fare from around the world. While guests may start at any of the interactive food stations at the all-you-can-eat buffet, many begin with the extensive soup and salad bar. This features Chef Freddy’s signature shrimp Caesar salad, seafood salad with shrimp, scallops and calamari, lobster bisque and chicken pozole. Succulent meats such as roast prime rib of beef and maple roasted whole turkey are hand carved by Fantasy Springs’ expert chefs. Guests may also relish grilled-to-order top sirloin steak, roast pork loin with orange-rosemary mustard glaze, baked chicken breast with artichoke and pepper tapenade, and a mouthwatering array of Italian, Asian and Latin specialties. Make sure you leave room for dessert so you do not make the resort’s pastry chefs sad by not partaking in their confectionary delights. Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the Fantasy Springs signature chocolate fountain, white chocolate mousse, Italian cheesecake, freshly baked cookies, pies and cakes, plus many sugar-free selections. Dinner seating begins at 4 p.m. Adults are $26.99 and children ages 3 to 11 are $13.99. Children under 3 are free. The resort’s other restaurants – Lique, JOY Asian Cuisine, The Pizza Kitchen and Starbucks Café – are also open on Valentine’s Day. |
