Leroy's Names Director for Northern Nevada

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- American Wagering, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BETM) today announced that Leroy's Horse & Sports Place, Inc. ("Leroy's"), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has named Chris Andrews as Director of Operations for Northern Nevada.

In his new role with Leroy's, Andrews will develop and implement business plans and strategies for the Leroy's race and sports operations in Northern Nevada, including contracting with new locations, improving existing locations, marketing the Leroy's products throughout the area, motivating Leroy's employees, etc. His efforts will be supported by Jimmy Vaccaro, who performs the same functions for Southern Nevada market, as well as the entire Leroy's staff.

Andrews joins Leroy's from the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where he served as Vice President of Race and Sports Operations for two years. During his tenure at the Golden Nugget, he substantially increased handle and created "The Ultimate Challenge," Nevada's highest paying football contest with a guaranteed prize of $500,000. Prior to the Golden Nugget, Andrews was Vice President of Race and Sports Operations for the Club Cal Neva in Reno for twenty-two years. During his tenure at the Club Cal Neva, he grew the sports book from two betting locations to twenty betting locations and supervised over 120 employees. Andrews began his career in the race and sports industry at the Stardust Hotel & Casino and the Barbary Coast Hotel & Casino, where he worked under Jimmy Vaccaro. He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
