6 May 2013

BOSTON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Professional poker player and media personality Bernard Lee will celebrate the sixth anniversary of The Bernard Lee Poker Show this month. RunGoodGear.com poker apparel, which just signed Lee to its 2013 World Series of Poker (WSOP) team, will sponsor the anniversary segments of the show.

The show airs from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays in Massachusetts. It is broadcast on 1120AM (Boston), 970AM (Worcester) and 1390AM (Cape Cod) on the Money Matters Radio Network. This month’s guests include:
  • Chris Moneymaker, the 2003 WSOP main event champion (who will discuss the 10th anniversary of his epic victory),
  • Jeremy Ausmus, the 2012 WSOP main event fifth place finisher;
  • Brent Hanks, the 2012 WSOP bracelet winner; and
  • Jonathan Little, the 2008 World Poker Tour (WPT) Player of the Year
RunGoodGear.com, an Oklahoma-based poker apparel company, is the newest sponsor of The Bernard Lee Poker Show. Lee has just been named a RunGoodGear.com pro and one of 12 players to represent the company on its 2013 WSOP team.

"We are thrilled to have Bernard be part of the RunGood team this year. His addition brings a veteran element for on and off the felt. Plus, we hear he’s pretty good on a mic too," said Tana Karn, the chief executive officer of RunGoodGear.com.

"I’m honored to be a part of the RunGood team, and look forward to working with the company as it becomes the premiere apparel company in the industry," Lee said.

Lee, a Wayland resident, has won nearly $2 million and three titles on the tournament circuit. The Harvard University and Babson College graduate worked as a senior marketing/new business development manager at a Massachusetts Fortune 500 company before finishing 13th — New England’s top finisher — in the 2005 World Series of Poker. Recognized as "the voice of poker in New England" by CardPlayer.com, Lee is known worldwide as a poker media personality.

The Bernard Lee Poker Show is simulcast on Rounders Radio, www.roundersradio.com, one of the largest online poker talk radio station in the world with listeners in more than 85 countries. Finally, the show is also available via podcast on iTunes.

The show incorporates interviews with poker players and prominent industry personnel with poker news and tips as well. Previous guests have included WSOP champions Doyle Brunson, Greg Merson, Pius Heinz, Jonathan Duhamel, Joseph Hachem, Greg Raymer, Peter Eastgate, Joe Cada and Phil Hellmuth; WPT commentator Mike Sexton; ESPN commentators Norman Chad and Lon McEachern; poker superstars Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Dennis Phillips, and Jason Mercier; and members of the 2008 through 2012 WSOP November Nine.

A poker writer for ESPN.com and Card Player Magazine, Lee was recently the lead commentator for the WSOP Circuit live stream, which was seen on ESPN3.com and WSOP.com. His two books, The Final Table, Volume I and Volume II, are compilations of the Sunday Boston Herald poker columns he penned for seven years. Lee is also a poker instructor and commentator for the WSOP and New England’s Eastern Poker Tour. Lee is a former co-host of ESPN.com’s weekly online poker show, "ESPN Inside Deal."
