Layoffs at Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs1 April 2011PALM SPRINGS, AND RANCHO MIRAGE, California -- Further layoffs have been made at the Spa Resort Casino, the Desert Sun reported. The Agua Bar & Grill will close, other restaurants are cutting their operating hours, the report said. The layoffs and reductions involve both properties and are an effort by The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians to reduce costs, These reductions follow last year's 2 percent reduction in the workforce and closure of the resort's poker room, the Desert Sun said. |
