Lawsuit Filed Over Potential Pittsburgh Casino Deal

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "A Louisiana man alleges in a federal lawsuit that an Allegheny County couple breached a contract for the potential development of an American Indian casino in Fayette County.

"Kermith R. Sonnier Sr., of Lake Charles, seeks to recoup the $335,000 he claims he paid Ernest and Marilyn Liggett in 2003 and 2004, according to a lawsuit filed this month in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh.

"…The lawsuit also names a Liggett-operated company, Platinum Settlement Services, as a defendant. Most of the properties the Liggetts own in Brownsville were purchased by another of their businesses, Manor Investments…"
