Lawsuit Filed Over Management of Louisiana Casino

LOUISIANA – As reported by the Louisiana Town Talk: "Who will manage a gambling casino to be established by the Jena Band of Choctaws is at the heart of a federal lawsuit filed by a main financial backer against two apparent management corporations.

"The Jena Choctaws were named in the original lawsuit, but they were amended out.

"Machal Inc., which state corporation records show former England Authority member H.K. Stanley as a principal officer, is suing BBC Entertainment Inc. of Minnesota, Tri-Millennium Corp. of Metairie and two Tri-Millennium shareholders.

"…Machal is claiming the band entered into contracts for land acquisition and casino development with the two defendant corporations, but the contracts are not valid because they were never approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission…"
