L'Auberge is Pinnacle Entertainment's newest gaming property in Lake Charles, Louisiana; it opened May 2005. The 227-acre property features a 26- story tower with approximately 750 casually elegant guestrooms and suites. It sets a new standard of excellence for casino resorts. L'Auberge features several distinct dining options including Snake River Grill(sm), Le Beaucoup Buffet(sm), Le Cafe(sm), Asia(sm), an Asian-fusion noodle bar, Jack Daniel's® Bar & Grill, Nevie Beach Club(sm), Sprinkles(sm), an ice cream parlor, and Lattes(sm), a coffee bar. "L'Auberge draws guests from a wide area, especially cities in Texas. Our resort offers multiple dining options, and we want to provide our guests the ability to purchase gift cards for family and friends who will visit us in the near future," stated Bart Lewin, Chief Technology Officer for Pinnacle. "We are very pleased with iCare's seamless integration of Gift Cards into the MICROS 9700 HMS." L'Auberge will also issue iCare Gift Cards to select employees, allowing them to comp guest charges for improved customer satisfaction and customer recognition purposes. The iCare system will track which employee is comping what customer, and put limits in place as to how much can be comped, placing tighter control on the comping function. "While there is much talk in the gaming industry about gift cards, not many other casinos have actually started to offer a gift card program to guests," stated Dan Interlandi, Executive Vice President of North America Distribution. "We are pleased that a forward-thinking, progressive organization such as Pinnacle has chosen iCare to lead the Casino gift card trend." Pinnacle Entertainment has been a long-time customer of MICROS. "We have been upgrading all our MICROS 8700 systems to MICROS 9700 HMS," continued Mr. Lewin. "We have been pleased with the ease of upgrade and the quality of service we've received from MICROS over the years. MICROS continues to be a strong technology partner." |
