Las Vegas Sands delivers petitions

KANSAS CITY, Kansas – As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "Las Vegas Sands Corp. delivered a list of almost 5,000 signatures of Kansas City, Kan., residents Wednesday morning to the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kan., in support of the company's proposed destination resort and casino for the county.

"The company is the only Wyandotte County casino contender whose plans lack the necessary local endorsement.

"Sands has proposed a casino, 300-room hotel, spa, meeting rooms and convention facilities for sites in Edwardsville and Kansas City, Kan. Plans include 5,000 slot machines, 200 table games, a poker room, 275,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 4,000-seat indoor entertainment venue and an outdoor amphitheater…"
