Las Vegas marries the military

8 November 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Wedding chapels and other venues in Las Vegas kicked off Veterans Day weekend on Thursday, 8 November 2018, with a special treat for members of the armed forces with the second annual “Las Vegas Marries the Military.” The Office of the County Clerk and Las Vegas Wedding Chamber of Commerce put a call out to the wedding industry to participate and received overwhelming support with 65 vendors offering free services to 11 different couples. These 11 couples each submitted a video to enter to win and traveled from across the country for the free ceremonies. Five of the ceremonies were weddings while six were vow renewals. Before the ceremonies, brides were treated to a group hair and makeup session as well as gown fittings at Creative Bride Wear. Among the participating wedding venues were Graceland Wedding Chapel, Bellagio's Terraza di Sogno, Lakeside Weddings, Vegas Weddings, The Wedding Salon at Wynn Las Vegas, The Chapel at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Chapel of the Flowers, The Chapel at Excalibur Hotel and Casino, The Wedding Chapel at Aria Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, and a wedding reception held at Bootlegger Bistro.
