Las Vegas celebrates national travel and tourism week8 May 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- Las Vegas is committed to transformation, through the years building itself into a one-stop, unparalleled leisure and business travel destination. Today, its ever-changing landscape welcomes more than 42 million visitors annually, generating nearly $59 billion for the local economy. Forever a trendsetter, Las Vegas continues to boast the greatest entertainment, culinary, sports and trade show experiences in the world. To celebrate the hard-working tourism employees and the visitors who are integral to its success, Las Vegas will join U.S. Travel Association, and destinations across the country, in recognizing National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW), 6-12 May. “We are thrilled to join the celebrations around the country,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). “Tourism is the lifeblood of Southern Nevada’s economy, employing nearly half of all residents.
