Ladbrokes halt Booker Prize betting

LONDON, England -- Betting on the Booker Prize has been suspended by Ladbrokes, RTE News reported.

The suspension came after a very hefty bet on Tom McCarthy's novel 'C', the RTE report said.

The prize will be handed out next Tuesday and always spawns betting activity in the UK.
