Kirov Ballet to Perform at Aladdin

LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- The Aladdin Resort & Casino will proudly present the world-famous Kirov Ballet from Russia with an exclusive engagement at the Aladdin Theatre Sept. 6 and 7. Featuring the superstars of the Kirov, Las Vegas will be the only place in the United States this special performance will be seen.

The Aladdin will also host the "Blue Russian Festival" in celebration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg, which will be a spectacular showcase of Russia's rich history and culture. Distinguished guests such as the Governor of St. Petersburg and the Mayor of Moscow will be in attendance for the show, the festival and a special black- tie fundraiser featuring notable speakers Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, Nevada State Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt and Kirov Ballet Director Makharbek Vaziev.

The only U.S. performance of this kind, celebrated Kirov Ballet principals Igor Zelensky, Diana Vishneva and Igor Kolb will grace the Aladdin Theatre stage for this history-making performance. These superstars of the Kirov Ballet will perform ballet's most famous vignettes for two special nights in the Aladdin Theatre Sept. 6 and 7. For this special event, the Kirov Ballet will perform such notable vignettes as "Le Spectre de la Rose," "Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux,"

"Romeo and Juliet," "Don Quixote" and "The Dying Swan." Tickets are on sale now and are priced at $150, $75 and $50. A portion of ticket sales proceeds will benefit the Nevada Ballet Theatre. The Blue Russian Festival commemorates the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg in a celebration of art, culture, and tradition Sept. 5 and 6. Guests will enjoy Russian culinary delights such as fine vodkas and chocolates, authentic artifacts, contemporary and folk art and even the secret to Russian vigorous health will be revealed. The events will take place in the Aladdin Conference Center. Admission is $10.

In partnership with Tiffany & Co., a special VIP Black Tie Dinner will be hosted Sept. 6. The roster of distinguished guests will include: Nevada State Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Yakovlev and other international celebrities and dignitaries. Guests will be treated to an extravagant display of the world's finest vodkas and caviar. Reservations are available through Ticketmaster and the Aladdin box office.
