Kentucky House Rejects Wagering Hub Bill30 March 2004KENTUCKY – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "The Kentucky House of Representatives killed a bill that included a Senate-added amendment that would have allowed the state to set up a wagering hub possibly at the Kentucky Horse Park on Monday night. "House Speaker Pro Tem Larry Clark (D-Okolona) led the effort to defeat the bill, which had previously passed the Senate. Clark cited dissatisfaction in comments made by Kentucky Commerce Secretary Jim Host, who suggested the hub be set up at the Horse Park in Lexington…" |
