Kentucky candidates debate expanded gambling

"Proponents have yet to muster enough support to make a serious push in the General Assembly, but now they have an influential ally in Democratic gubernatorial candidate Steve Beshear.

"Beshear has vowed in his campaign to ask lawmakers to authorize a statewide referendum on whether casino gambling can be offered at racetracks and -- of note to West Virginians -- at up to four locations along the state's borders.

"...In the Kentucky campaign, Beshear and Gov. Ernie Fletcher, the Republican incumbent, are both putting forth arguments that should sound familiar to West Virginians.
