Kenny Chesney to be inducted into Mohegan Sun's Walk of Fame2 August 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mohegan Sun is proud to announce the newest Arena Walk of Fame inductee, country superstar Kenny Chesney. Chesney has played five back-to-back sell-out performances at Mohegan Sun Arena since he kicked off his Sun City Carnival 2009 Tour. Now, the songwriter from east Tennessee returns to Mohegan Sun for his final two indoor shows of 2017 on 10 and 11 August. Chesney will be presented with his Walk of Fame star outside the Mohegan Sun Box Office a few hours prior to his 11 August show. Mohegan Sun Arena's most memorable performers, including Bon Jovi, KISS, Rod Stewart, Taylor Swift, Mötley Crüe, Keith Urban and so many more, have been honored as Walk of Famers and have stars placed outside of the Box Office. With two shows at Mohegan Sun Arena, marking another sellout, this sets the perfect timing to recognize Chesney as the 31st inductee into the Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame award recognizes those individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast's premier entertainment destination. All of the individuals inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently located at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena.
