Kazakhstan to Study Macau29 March 2004MACAU – As reported by the Ponto Final: "Vice-foreign minister of Republic of Kazakhstan says his country is very interested in developing close ties with Macau "…Speaking after what he described as a 'short but fruitful visit' to Macau, Vice-Foreign Minister Mukhtar B. Tileuberdi said the two sides had agreed to 'create the legal basis for our bilateral relations,' adding the future co-operation agreement would cover a wide range of areas, such as tourism, trade, investments, culture and education. "…The vice-minister also said that Kazakhstan was keen to launch a direct air link with Hong Kong and Macau, adding that his government was 'very interested' in studying Macau's experience in the gaming industry, namely because the opening of casinos was legal in his country.
