Kansas Lottery wants contract deadline extension4 March 2008KANSAS -- As reported by the Wichita Eagle: "The Kansas Lottery plans to ask Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to extend its casino contract deadlines by 60 days. "The extensions would apply to all four of the casino zones established under the state's new gambling bill. The new deadline for Sumner County casino contracts would be May 27. "Ed Van Petten, the lottery's executive director, said the extension is needed because it has taken longer to organize all aspects of the contract process than the lottery had anticipated..." |
