Kansas Lottery taking in casino applications

ICHITA, Kansas -- As reported by the Wichita Business Journal: "The Kansas Lottery on Monday announced it had finished creating an application form for would-be casino developers looking to manage facilities in the state's newly formed "gaming zones."

"The 30-page application, which can be found at www.kslottery.com, asks developers an extensive series of questions, such as whether they've ever had a gambling license revoked or suspended and whether they've been involved in any lawsuits during the past five years.

"...The application was created according to a new state law that would allow casinos in four areas of Kansas -- Wyandotte County, Ford County and either Cherokee or Crawford counties and either Sumner or Sedgwick counties..."
