Kansas Gambling Vote Postponed

KANSAS – As reported by the Kansas Star: "An advisory question about gambling will not appear on the April 5 ballot in Wyandotte County.

"Wyandotte County's Unified Government decided last week not to put the nonbinding referendum on the ballot, said Don Denney, Unified Government spokesman. The question would have lent support to the River Falls gambling plan that has been introduced in both the Kansas House and Senate. Under that plan, a special election would have to authorize expanded gambling in the host counties…"
