Kansas City Gambling Revenues Up

11 April 2006

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "The Kansas City area's four casinos posted combined revenue of $64.4 million in March, up 4 percent from $61.7 million a year earlier, according to statistics from the Missouri Gaming Commission.

"Kansas City-area casinos had a total of 995,430 customers in March, down 1.6 percent from 1.01 million customers in March 2005, the agency said in a written release Monday.

"Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City led area casinos with revenue of $23.1 million, up 5 percent from $21.9 million last year.

"…Harrah's North Kansas City Casino & Hotel posted revenue of $18 million, up 11 percent from $16.3 million last year.

"…Argosy Casino reported revenue of $14.9 million, up 5 percent from $14.1 million last year.

"…Isle of Capri Casino posted revenue of $8.4 million, down 10 percent from $9.4 million last year…"
