Kansas City Casino Report Mixed Results

10 August 2005

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "Revenue increased for two Kansas City-area casinos and decreased for two others in July compared with last year, according to statistics the Missouri Gaming Commission released Wednesday.

"Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City led area casinos in July with revenue of $23.1 million, up 5 percent from $22 million in July 2004.

"…Harrah's North Kansas City Casino & Hotel posted revenue of $17.5 million, up 7 percent from $16.3 million last year, and 294,617 customers, up 11 percent from 265,720.

"…Argosy Casino reported revenue of $12.4 million, down 3 percent from $12.7 million last year, and 189,917 customers, down 3.5 percent from 196,867 for the comparable period.

"…Isle of Capri Casino posted revenue of $8 million, down 12 percent from $9.1 million last year, and 174,800 customers, down 17 percent from 209,721 last year."
