Kansas casino board to visit Sumner County

KANSAS -- As reported by the Wichita Business Journal: "The state committee that will determine where a casino will be placed in Sumner County will take a first-hand look at the area next month.

"The Kansas Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board will hold a meeting July 10 and 11 at Belle Plaine High School. It is part of the committee's 'in-zone' meeting tour, where it will visit each of the four Kansas gaming zones that were established under a bill passed last year by the Legislature.

"...A time hasn't been set for the board's meeting in Sumner County, but it will consist of presentations by each of the three prospective casino managers -- Harrah's Entertainment, Marvel Gaming and Penn National Gaming..."
