Kansas AG files case against new laws23 August 2007OPEKA, Kansas -- As reported by the Kansas City Star: "Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison filed a lawsuit with the state supreme court today challenging a new casino gambling law. "The lawsuit was suggested by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius in April as a way to clear up constitutional questions surrounding the measure, which authorized state-owned casinos and racetrack slot machines in Wyandotte County and other sites. "Sebelius, who believes the law is constitutional, said the idea is to minimize any delay to opening the facilities and to allay concerns of investors.
