Kalispel Casino to reopen on 5 May

29 April 2020

Kalispel Casino announced that it is going to be reopening on 5 May. Below is the announcement made from the Washington casino and the details posted on its website.

"We are so excited to announce that we will be reopening our doors and welcoming our guests and Team Members back to Kalispel Casino starting Tuesday, May 5! It’s been more than a month since we’ve entertained you and we’re excited to see your (likely) mask-covered faces!

As you’re all well aware, the whole world has drastically changed in the past seven weeks. When you come back to Kalispel Casino, you’ll visibly see those changes impacting your guest experience... and while some things may seem unfamiliar, you can still expect the same outstanding service, commitment to excellence and welcoming Kalispel Hospitality you’re used to experiencing at Kalispel Casino.

We want to assure you that the health and safety of our guests and Team Members is our number one priority. We believe that with enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures in place, increased social distancing measures throughout the property, a thoughtful approach to a phased reopening in some areas and everyone’s collective commitment to staying home when they’re experiencing symptoms of illness, we can safely get back to the business of having fun!

Kalispel Casino will be following CDC guidelines when it comes to social distancing, cleaning and sanitization. All Team Members who work in direct guest-service areas will be wearing masks as part of their uniforms to protect themselves, their fellow Team Members and our guests. Guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own masks and to wear them as much as possible while on our property. Masks for guests may also be provided (in limited supply). You’ll see floor markers identifying six-foot distancing, Team Members using gloves where appropriate and hand sanitizing stations in high traffic areas.

While we understand that some people will continue to choose to stay home and self-isolate, others are looking for a place to safely feel a sense of community during these challenging times. In addition, as one of the largest employers in Pend Oreille County, we have dozens of Team Members who want to get back to work and make a living to help support their families.

We are grateful that in Spokane and Pend Oreille Counties, confirmed cases are continuing to decrease and more importantly, the Intensive Care Units within our local healthcare system have not been overwhelmed."
