July tough month for Atlantic City casinos11 August 2010ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Usually summer is profitable in Atlantic City casinos but this year has been different, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The 11 casinos in Atlantic City reported a 5 per cent decrease in revenue over last year, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Atlantic City is understood to have taken a hit from new neighboring casinos in Pennsylvania and their recent introduction of table games, the report noted. The smallest property, Resorts, took the biggest decrease of its revenue -- down 19.3 percent, the Philadelphia Inquirer said. |
