Judge Delays Emerald Casino Ruling

ILLINOIS – As reported by the Chicago Daily Herald: "If a federal bankruptcy judge's actions Tuesday were any indication, Rosemont is still sitting in the catbird seat when it comes to Illinois' 10th casino license.

"Judge Eugene Wedoff delayed ruling on any Emerald Casino bankruptcy settlement, which must first contend with a claim by Rosemont that the village deserves hundreds of millions of dollars in lost revenue since the Emerald casino was not opened there.

"Wedoff decided to wait until Feb. 24, one day after the Illinois Gaming Board picks its three finalists for the state's 10th license…"
