Jowell May Change UK Gambling Bill

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the UK Sky News: "Culture secretary Tessa Jowell has signalled a possible retreat over the controversial Gambling Bill on the eve of a crucial vote in Parliament.

"The Bill would pave the way for so-called super casinos and big-prize slot machines.

"Ms Jowell was speaking on the eve of the Bill's second reading in the Commons, during which many Labour MPs are expected to join the Tories and Liberal Democrats in opposing the controversial legislation.

"She acknowledged that there were serious public concerns about gambling and the Bill's potential impact…"
