Jonny Lang brings soulful sound to SugarHouse Casino4 April 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Singer, songwriter Jonny Lang is bringing his modern blues and rock sounds to the SugarHouse Casino Event Center on June 24 at 9 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 8. Lang's Grammy-winning career began in Fargo, North Dakota, at the age of 12. He is a highly-respected guitarist who has evolved as a writer and performer since launching his career in the 1990s. Over the years, Lang has had the opportunity to share a stage with some of the most respected legends in music, including the Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Aerosmith and more. "Jonny Lang's genre-defying sound lends itself to a unique and interesting live show," said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. "The Event Center is the perfect, intimate environment for guests to connect with this special performance." Lang's most recent album, Fight For My Soul, was released in 2013 after three years of writing and developing. The album combines textured arrangements, a broad worldview, gorgeous vocal melodies and expressive guitar playing. Tickets for Lang's show can be purchased online starting Friday, April 8, at 10 a.m. The cost is $49 per seat. Lang follows sold-out performances from famed country music artist LeAnn Rimes and Daily Show host Trevor Noah in the brand-new Event Center. Tickets to see Don Felder, former guitarist of The Eagles, are still available. In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of other occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Delaware riverfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Parking is always free. The Event Center is part of SugarHouse's 2016 expansion rollout, with an expanded gaming floor and seven new food and beverage outlets, including Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House by Gibsons Restaurant Group, the casino's high-end steakhouse. |
