Johnny Rivers coming to Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Legendary rock ‘n’ roll singer, songwriter, and record producer, Johnny Rivers, will bring his repertoire of classic rock staples to the stage at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center on Friday, September 10.

The show, originally scheduled for April 25, 2020, is the first concert at the Event Center since Rivers Casino reopened in September of 2020. All tickets purchased for the original show are still good for the September 10 concert.

Tickets for the new date go on sale Monday, July 12 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at RiversCasino.com/Schenectady, tickets.proctors.org or the Proctors Theater Box Office in Schenectady. Doors open at 7 p.m., the show begins at 8 p.m., and tickets start at $35.

A two-time Grammy Award winner, Johnny Rivers has sold more than 30-million records, with 29 chart hits including “Memphis,” “Secret Agent Man,” “Poor Side of Town,” “Baby, I Need Your Lovin’,” and “Summer Rain”.

Born in New York City, River’s historic career began when he was just 15 and recorded his first single, “Hey Little Girl”, which went on to become a regional hit. From there a string of hits followed, along with other amazing career highlights including his signing of The Fifth Dimension to his record label, appearances on all the major TV networks, a slot at The Monterey Pop Festival, and numerous songs featured in major motion pictures.

The Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center is just steps away from the casino gaming floor and The Landing Hotel.
