Jesse Lonis wins 2025 PGT PLO Series title8 April 2025(PRESS RELEASE) -- Jesse Lonis is the 2025 PGT PLO Series Champion. In a series packed with drama, big prize money, and elite-level pot-limit Omaha action, Lonis delivered a dominant and consistent performance to secure the series title. Over the 11-event series, Lonis racked up one win, four final tables, five total cashes, and $799,140 in prize money. His tremendous run earned him 662 PGT points, which was enough to top the series leaderboard and lock up the prestigious PGT PLO Series title. Lonis' PGT PLO Series Results - Event #2: $5,100 PLO Progressive Bounty - 3rd for $47,700 - Event #5: $10,100 PLO Progressive Bounty - 9th for $27,840 - Event #7: $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha - 2nd for $204,750 - Event #9: $15,100 Pot-Limit Omaha - 1st for $308,850 - Event #10: $25,200 PLO Championship - 3rd for $210,000 But Lonis didn’t just coast to victory—the race came down to the wire. Not only was the series title determined on the final day, but it came down to the very last hand dealt. Lonis' third-place finish in the $25,200 PLO Championship put him ahead of Alex Foxen on the series leaderboard, but he had to sweat every card in the final event as Foxen made a deep run. Foxen needed a win to steal the title, and the sweat was at its fullest when Foxen reached heads-up play. But in the end, Zachary Schwartz closed it out, denying Foxen the win and crowning Lonis the champion. This win marks another crowning achievement in Lonis’ rising career. Time and time again, Lonis continues to prove himself among the game’s best. He now joins the elite company of Lautaro Guerra, Daniel Geeng, Samuli Sipila, and Matthew Wantman as PGT PLO Series champions. Lonis’ impressive showing also launched him to seventh on the PGT season-long leaderboard with 786 points, now sitting between Daniel Negreanu (sixth) and Michael “Texas Mike” Moncek (eighth). As champion, Lonis also walks away with a $10,000 PGT Passport bonus prize, which he’s expected to put to use at the upcoming U.S. Poker Open.
