Japanese Man Embezzles 131 Million Yen

JAPAN – As reported by the Yomiuri Shimbun: "A Japan Agriculture Cooperative employee has been sacked after reportedly admitting to embezzling 131 million yen in customers' savings and pensions to feed his gambling habit, The Yomiuri Shimbun learned Tuesday.

"…Between December 1999 and December 2002, the 52-year-old man allegedly pilfered 131 million yen in savings and pension premiums from 25 accounts on 27 occasions…"
