Japan: Gambler wants his losses treated as tax deductions7 May 2014JAPAN -- A Japanese civil servant wants his gambling losses treated as a tax deductible business expense, according to Asahi Shimbun. A previous case in Osaka ruled that there are circumstances where betting losses might be regarded as a business expense, the report said. Tax officials allege in the current case that the civil servant failed to declare his income over many years, the Asahi Shimbun report said. |
