Jamaica's first casino could start construction this year

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Casino gambling could arrive in Jamaica this year, according to a South Florida Caribbean News report.

The Tourism Minister Edmund Barlett said three licenses could be awarded within the next three years, the report said.

The first casino could even begin construction before the end of 2011, the South Florida Caribbean News report mentioned.
