JACK Thistledown to receive Hollywood-style makeover30 November 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- JACK Thistledown Racino is getting a Hollywood-style makeover. The 91-year-old racetrack is investing $9 million to design and build a new façade and a two-story, glass grand entrance with a material commonly used to construct movie sets. The renovation is part of a larger-scale $70 million property enhancement that debuted earlier this year and features the addition of signature restaurant Millcreek Grille, Nonna Pazza pasta bar, Cleo's sports bar, additional gaming and a 1,000-space parking garage. The current construction, which will be completed in spring 2017, will further enrich the look of JACK Thistledown. The grand entrance, dubbed the Jewel Box, becomes a beautiful lobby for guests to relax and meet up with friends. Overall, more than $150 million has been invested at JACK Thistledown in the last three years, with more changes to come. |
