J Lo threatened with lawsuit by Northern Cyprus hotel-casino

12 July 2010

NORTHERN CYPRUS -- The Cratos Premium hotel and casino complex are unhappy with Jennifer Lopez, Sky News reported.

Lopez cancelled a performance, allegedly for political reasons after an outcry from the South of the country, an outcry which now includes the threat of $40m lawsuit in the North from the hotel-casino, Sky said.

Northern Cyprus is only recognized by Turkey who occupied it in 1974 to prevent reunification with Greece, Sky noted.

Cratos management want J Lo to reverse her decision and play the gig, Sky added.
