Italy: Where gambling did not pay off18 July 2012ROME, Italy -- Italy's gamble with deregulating gaming may not have paid off, Reuters reported. Gambling revenue has not risen at the rates predicted while problem gambling has rapidly expanded, the report explained. Low taxes encourage gambling, but with a tax rate of only 11 percent of gaming revenue do not fill up the state's coffers as hoped, the Reuters report noted. |
