Ireland to introduce online betting tax15 October 2014IRELAND -- The Betting Amendment Bill is expected to be introduced by Finance Minister Michael Noonan shortly in Ireland, the Irish Examiner reported. The bill will see the introduction of a new online betting tax is estimated to raise €25m per year, the report said. The tax will be levied on foreign-based companies who receive bets from Irish residents estimated to be in the region of €1.6bn annually, the Irish Examiner said.
